Informatica PowerCenter
Overview
Informatica PowerCenter is the core and foundation for building a scalable and expandable Informatica data integration platform, and is used with other Informatica product family packages.
- Informatica PowerCenter can provide support for a wide range of applications and data sources, including support for ERP systems (Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.), support for CRM systems (Siebel, etc.), support for eCommerce data (XML, MQ Series, Tibco, JMS, WebMethods, etc.), legacy systems, and host data.
- Informatica PowerCenter allows users to implement execution transformation engines across multiple servers, which can maximize system performance;
- The PowerCenter service is an efficient ETL service that runs in memory. It does not need to generate any code, and reads the latest ETL rules from the meta-database every time the task is executed
- The PowerCenter client provides a graphical design and management scheduling interface for rapid development and deployment
- Job design is divided into logical design, knowledge base management, and execution of physical tasks. From a design perspective, the development is divided into a three-tier structure, which is in line with modern mainstream technical characteristics;
Highlights
- A metadata-driven engine that supports distributed architectures.
- It supports flexible development, convenient management, and comprehensive monitoring of various ETL process control.
