vSRX Next Generation Firewall
Overview
Enter the vSRX virtual firewall to provide scalable security across private, public, and hybrid clouds. vSRX provides the same functionality as physical SRX series firewalls in a virtualized form factor, providing security services that can be expanded according to network requirements. It provides the same functionality as an SRX appliance, including a core firewall, a stable network, comprehensive next-generation functionality, and automated lifecycle management. With speeds of up to 100 Gbps, vSRX is the fastest virtual firewall in the industry. vSRX supports Juniper Networks Contrail, OpenContrail, and third-party software-defined networking (SDN) solutions, and can be integrated with cloud orchestration tools such as OpenStack. Junos Space Security Director and Policy Enforcer support automated security enforcement, enabling you to unify management and visibility of physical and virtual assets through a common interface. vSRX can also be integrated into Juniper's SD-WAN solution. It is managed, configured and monitored uniformly by the SD-WAN controller, enabling users to unify access management from branch offices, public clouds, data centers, and headquarters.
Highlights
- vSRX provides a suite of advanced security services specific to virtualization that are versatile and powerful, including unified threat management (UTM), intrusion detection and prevention (IDP), and application control and visibility services through Juniper Networks AppSecure.
- vSRX includes comprehensive content security features to combat malware, viruses, phishing attacks, intrusions, spam, and other threats through best-in-class anti-virus, anti-spam, website filtering, and content filtering.
- vSRX's IPS protects systems from attacks by inspecting data and taking actions, such as blocking attacks as they develop and before they succeed, or by creating a set of rules within the firewall to control access to IT networks. IPS tightly integrates Juniper's application security capabilities with the network infrastructure to further reduce threats and protect against a myriad of attacks and vulnerabilities.
