FortiAuthenticator - Access management that establishes identities for security structures

Built on Fortinet single sign-on, FortiAuthenticator provides secure identity and role-based access to Fortinet's connected network. By integrating with existing Active Directory or LDAP authentication systems, it enables security based on corporate user identities without hampering users or generating work for network administrators.

FortiAuthenticator is a gatekeeper for authorized users of the FortiNet secure enterprise network. It can query the access rights of third party systems and pass this information to FortiGate devices for use in identity-based policies. FortiAuthenticator provides transparent identification through a variety of methods:

  • Polling Active Directory Domain Controllers;
  • integrates with FortiAuthenticator single sign-on mobile proxy to detect logins, IP address changes, and logouts;
  • RADIUS accounting
  • SAML SP/IdP Web SSO
