Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense Virtual (FTDv) is a virtual version of the Cisco Firepower Next Generation Firewall.

Inspecting encrypted traffic while automating risk ranking and impact tagging reduces the number of incidents to prioritize threats. Microsegmentation technology protects east-west traffic.

Unified management FTDv devices can be managed uniformly by API, Firepower Device Manager, Cisco Defense Orchestrator, or Firepower Management Center (FMC). FMC for Amazon Web Services can be installed locally or on Amazon Web Services. REST APIs are supported, providing an HTTP-based interface for management, policy, and monitoring.
