JuiceFS Cloud Service

JuiceFS is a high performance distributed file system designed for the cloud. JuiceFS Cloud Service is a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution provided by Juicedata. Unlike the open source version of JuiceFS, it comes with a high-performance metadata engine developed in-house, so your team can use and manage JuiceFS storage more easily.

JuiceFS is designed for high performance computing needs and is commonly used for AI and machine learning training, inference, model distribution, and big data processing and analysis. In industries such as generative AI, autonomous driving, quantitative trading, and bioinformatics, JuiceFS acts as a unified storage solution in the user data pipeline. It efficiently manages column-based structured data, semi-structured data such as CSV and JSON, and various forms of unstructured data for computation, including video, image, and audio files.

JuiceFS separates “data” and “metadata” storage. Files are split into chunks and stored in Amazon S3 to improve storage performance, while metadata (directory, file names) is stored in our fully managed service. JuiceFS's built-in caching feature can significantly increase I/O throughput by utilizing the compute node's local storage while greatly reducing S3's bandwidth overhead. By being fully POSIX compatible, it allows S3 to be used as high-capacity local disks, allowing them to be mounted and accessed on hosts in different platforms and regions.
