Overview
IBM Spectrum Virtualize for Public Cloud can be used to build hybrid and multi-cloud solutions. You can use this product to build storage-based remote data replication for data mobility, disaster recovery, and optimization of storage efficiency and workloads on Amazon Web Services. Using IBM Spectrum Virtualize for Public Cloud on Amazon Web Services and IBM Storwize, SVC, and IBM FlashSystem 9100 deployed in-house in your data center, and more than 450 IBM and non-IBM storage devices that can be virtualized, you can build a structure that can be used to replicate data within the data center to the Amazon Web A hybrid cloud solution with Services EBS storage. Build a workload mobility solution or disaster recovery/business continuity secondary site on Amazon Web Services infrastructure. IBM Spectrum Virtualize for Public Cloud can be easily deployed on 3 different types of EC2 instances to meet different performance requirements, and EBS block storage can be virtualized to build a high-availability cluster solution. An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
Please complete the subscription first, otherwise EC2 resources will not be able to be launched during the CloudFormation execution process. If you launch from the EC2 console, you need to launch an EC2 instance of the product and then terminate it to complete the subscription, and you will receive a subscription email. Get different templates according to your needs and complete the deployment using CloudFormation:
- Deploy using an existing VPC: https://cn-mp-cft.s3.cn-northwest-1.amazonaws.com.cn/CN-IBM-Spectrum-Virtualize-for-Public-Cloud/existingVPC.master.template
- Create a new VPC deployment: https://cn-mp-cft.s3.cn-northwest-1.amazonaws.com.cn/CN-IBM-Spectrum-Virtualize-for-Public-Cloud/newVPC.master.template
Using a key pair, log in via SSH to the arbitration node with the username CentOS. On the arbiter node, run “enable-sv-cloud-management-gui” to enable forwarding through the arbiter node's web console.
Log in to the web console by accessing the service IP forwarded by the arbiter node: https://{quorum-internet-ip} :8443 The initial password for the web GUI user SuperUser is the initial password set by the user in the Cloud Formation Template. Users can perform the initial system configuration by following the “Easy Setup” guide. Log in to the management CLI console: On the arbiter node, run the “ssh cluster” using the same key pair
